Hughes projects to be great, while Santana is great. Maybe we could package Kennedy, Farnsworthless, Igawa, and someone like Ohlendorf for Santana, but I doubt it. Before the majority of the media anoint Johan Saintana, let's remember that he was bested by Barry Zito in his last post-season starts against the slap-hitting A's, and that his ERA in Fenway sits above 6.50! .

I'm not chanting "the end is nigh", but maybe the change we're seeing is inevitable, even if we stopped everything and climbed back into that cave. Just a thought. As for the Tarsands question? I stand by my previous answer, there is too much money on the line for any significant change in attitudes regardless of what party is in power. .

I think the whole reaction is so really stupid. I am convinced that the archbishop is a thoughtful man however, if he is so thoughtful, could he not guess that his remarks would be misconstrued and that the same bad images of Islam and so-called Islamic law being implemented wherever ( real Islamic law is implemented NOWHERE at all and I know what I am talking about) would just come up AGAIN and AGAIN? I dont know but if even somebody like me could figure this out , he could have too, and therefore I am pondering about the significance and relevance of this declaration. If you are fighting prejudice, you try and do it in a clever way, not like that...To me this has only achieved one thing: reinforce the idea in the English commoner that all what Muslims are after is changing their country's law, habits etc.

My four-year-old daughter, Danni, is home with the flu. I'm home with her, thanks for nice, understanding people above me. She doesn't do well with the stove, so my wife and I have decided it's best if there is always an adult with her. Today is an anomaly, she is still sleeping and it is 10 a.m. Most mornings she's up before 7 a.m. whispering in my ear, "Dad ... dad ... DAD ... do you want to play?" Last night my wife, Laura, slept in the same bed as Danni to comfort her. My wife gets automatic entry into heaven for that. This isn't normal for us, we insist she sleep in her own bed, by herself. Anyone that has slept with a small child knows that as soon as they fall asleep they grow. It's amazing, my 41-inch-tall daughter can grow to over 6-feet and 500 pounds when in bed with her. She could take up two-thirds of a California King.

Climate change protesters have made plans for a nationwide campaign of direct action against greenhouse gas polluters across the UK. They warn that the campaign is set to become "more urgent" in the face of mounting evidence of growing environmental damage. Hundreds of campaigners grabbed media headlines last summer when they set up a protest camp outside Heathrow and blocked the headquarters of airport operators BAA.
