Clinton, Obama debate on trade, health care, Iraq war and negative ...

The five-year-old Iraq conflict is also emerging as a fault line in the general election, with McCain calling for the U.S. military continuing its mission while his Democratic opponents urge quick withdrawal.

The two Democratic rivals also debated the North America Free Trade Agreement with Canada and Mexico that is wildly unpopular with working-class voters whose support is critical in any Democratic primary in Ohio.

Neither one said they were ready to withdraw from the agreement, although both said they would use the threat of withdrawal to pressure Mexico to make changes.

"I have said I would renegotiate NAFTA," said Clinton. "I will say to Mexico that we will opt out of NAFTA unless we renegotiate it."

Obama said Clinton has tried to have it both ways, touting the trade deal in farm states where it is popular while finding fault with it in places like Ohio.

Advantage belongs to Lakers

Their 38-17 record is tied for the best mark in the Western Conference with the Phoenix Suns, the team the Lakers beat last Wednesday to win the season series, 3-1.

The Clippers have dropped to 19-34, the fourth-worst record in the West.

The Lakers got 23 points, five rebounds and six assists from Pau Gasol and another double-double from Lamar Odom, who had 20 points and 10 rebounds.

They got 17 points from Sasha Vujacic and 14 from Jordan Farmar, both of whom came off the bench.

"It was fortunately for me that Pau and the guys really just played extremely well so I could coast a little bit," Bryant said. "I pulled my rib a little bit there in the first quarter, but it helps when the rest of the team is picking up the slack so I can have a night like tonight."

The Lakers tied their season high with their seventh straight win, the longest streak since the Lakers won 11 in a row in 2004.

They may also cover topics generally neglected by mainstream international media. Whatever the story covered, it will be covered differently. Since the launch of EuroNews, No Comment has been one of the signature programmes of the international news broadcaster, covering news stories through live footage and without commentary.

Phillipe Cayla, President of EuroNews, said the objective was to create links between all levels of distribution. "It’s at the heart of showing how to explain the uniqueness of EuroNews," added Michael Peters, CEO.

For the first few weeks, NoCommentTV.com viewers will be redirected to the No Comment TV channel specially designed for YouTube.

Along the same principles as YouTube, web surfers will create a No Comment TV community by registering with the channel, sharing videos and impressions, and voting or actively participating in the creation of new videos.

Secret city reservoir to save Sydney from drought

AN abandoned network of railway tunnels stretching under the Sydney CBD could be used as water storage facilities to serve the city in times of drought.

The Daily Telegraph has learned the State Government is considering a feasibility study into using disused railway tunnels under the CBD as a way of providing additional grey water to public and private buildings.

Transport Minister John Watkins said yesterday he would ask RailCorp to investigate the feasibility of using the network as storage.

"The Government will consider any means of providing additional water to Government buildings in the CBD especially during the drought," he said.

"Using the rail tunnels may be possible and I'll ask RailCorp to investigate."

The proposal was discussed as four giant rainwater tanks were yesterday hauled on to the roof of State Parliament House in the first phase of a move to turn the city green.
